Kampung Jiak

How Kampung Jiak works

Kampung Jiak is a group-buy site for home-based food businesses in Singapore. Neighbours in one estate order together from a home kitchen elsewhere on the island. The cook makes one delivery to a host in the estate, and everyone collects from the host. There is no delivery fee.

How ordering works

  1. Find a group buy near you

Each group buy brings one home kitchen’s food to a host in your estate. Filter by your estate at the top.

  2. Order and pay before the cutoff

Choose your packs and pay by PayNow with the QR code. Your spot is held for 60 minutes while you pay.

  3. It goes ahead once the minimum is reached

The yellow bar shows how close it is. If it doesn’t reach the minimum by the cutoff, you get a full refund.

  4. Collect from your neighbour

Once you’ve paid, you’ll see the exact pickup spot. Collect during the time shown. No delivery fee.

How hosting works

  1. Send a request to a seller

Pick the food, the dates and your pickup spot. The seller accepts before buyers can see it.

  2. Share it in your estate chats

Tap Copy post for chats and paste it into your Telegram or WhatsApp groups. Remind unpaid buyers from the buyer list.

  3. Receive the delivery

When the food arrives, tap Delivery received. Use the packing list or bag labels to sort the bags.

  4. Hand out and get paid

Tick each buyer as they collect. You earn 12–15% of the group buy once it’s completed.

How selling works

  1. Add your products

Add a clear photo, the price, the pack size, and halal and allergen labels. Products need a photo before hosts can pick them.

  2. Accept or decline requests

Hosts send you group buy requests. Nothing goes live until you accept.

  3. Cook what’s confirmed

After orders close, Cook this shows the exact amounts. Print a bag label for each order.

  4. Deliver once and get paid

Drop everything at the host’s pickup spot. Your payout is sent after collection.

Kampung Jiak is a group-buy site for home-based food businesses in Singapore. Neighbours in one estate order together from a home kitchen elsewhere on the island. The cook makes one delivery to a host in the estate, and everyone collects from the host. There is no delivery fee.

How does a group buy work?

A host in your estate opens a group buy with a minimum amount and a cutoff time. You order and pay by PayNow before the cutoff. If the minimum is reached, the seller cooks and delivers to the host, and you collect at the pickup spot. If not, everyone gets a full refund.

What if the group buy doesn’t reach the minimum?

It’s cancelled after the cutoff and everyone who paid gets a full refund by PayNow.

How do I know my payment went through?

Open your order with your order number and phone number. It changes to Paid once your PayNow transfer is matched, usually within a few hours.

Can I cancel my order?

Yes, until the cutoff. If you already paid, you’ll get a full refund.

Where do I collect my food?

You see the block before ordering. The exact pickup spot appears on your order once you’ve paid.

Is the food halal?

Each item shows its label. MUIS halal-certified means the seller holds a MUIS certificate. No pork, no lard is the seller’s own declaration.

Are home-based food businesses allowed in Singapore?

Yes. Under the HDB and URA Home-based Business Scheme, residents can run small-scale food businesses from home without a licence, as long as they follow food safety rules.

I missed the collection time. What now?

WhatsApp the host from your order page to arrange a late pickup.

How can I host or sell?

Tap Host in my estate or Sell my home cooking on the home page. Hosts earn 12–15% of each group buy. Sellers get bulk orders in new estates with one delivery.
